July 13, 2023 - The County of Los Angeles Department of Medical Examiner determined the cause of death for 54-year-old singer-songwriter Lisa Marie Presley as a small bowel obstruction caused by scar tissue that developed after a previous bariatric surgery years ago. The manner of death is natural.
On January 12, Ms. Presley was found unresponsive at her home by her ex-husband who called 911. Paramedics transported her to the hospital where she was pronounced dead at 1708 hours.
On January 14, the deputy medical examiner completed an examination of Ms. Presley at the Department’s Forensic Science Center. Following the completion and receipt of relevant test results, the cause of death was certified on July XX.
