DMEC Forensic Pathology Fellowship Presentation at USCAP Annual Conference

DMEC Conference

March 15, 2022

On March 20, the Department of Medical Examiner-Coroner (DMEC) will be hosting a table at the United States and Canadian Academy of Pathology’s (USCAP) annual conference at the Los Angeles Convention Center to promote DMEC’s Forensic Pathology Fellowship.

DMEC forensic pathologists will be available to speak with interested fellowship applicants at the conference's Fellowship Fair, which will be located in the Concourse Foyer from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m.

The department’s Forensic Pathology Fellowship is a fully accredited one-year program offering four weeks of sub-specialized training, as well as access to an unmatched variety of cases and an expansion of skill sets that will prepare fellows to practice in any location or setting.

A lecture series on postmortem computed tomography prepares the trainee for the future of Forensic Pathology. There are two competitive positions for each academic year. Interviews are typically conducted in late September/early October, two years in advance.
